I took some time off making episodes for personal reasons. This took some time to deliver my newest character, Pata. Unlike Pao and Pia, Pata is a character bigger than life. He's just as big as Pao and Pia, but I feel he's only a guest every so often at the Pao and Pia show. That's because I'm planning to spin him off his own episodes for comedy aside from learning Tagalog. He's going to be that funny 'uncle' type that wants to make his own jokes and tell you what he thinks. He's definitely larger than life, in fact he's almost double the size of pao and pia in the show. You can watch him in the newest episode below! Pao and Pia is my entry into video content creating where I get to share my humor and teaching style to help kids learn tagalog. I always wanted to find a niche in the internet, and I think I found it personally to make me happy and help my child who is just 1 month old..something that I can personally watch with him because I approve what I can say to him. What I mean is, when he gets old enough to watch youtube videos, I can show this to him and make him laugh and learn, hopefully, at the same time. I've looked for learning Tagalog with kids in other youtube channels and i feel like they did not fully go full bore and try to get the attention for the kids to love learning. Kids want to be entertained....The only thing i got from other youtube channels is that they think basic learning and colorful things will get them to watch. That's not the case. They want to be friends with the characters. they want to learn and be part of something that feels like they can be apart of. Other youtube channels from what i can tell is recycle and repeat words and assume theyr're going to keep watching because it looks fun. I think I put a connection with the children with my characters, at least I can try. I personally feel like I can channel a kids humor, whether or not i can do it, i'm going to try to do it my way and be happy doing it. If I share my humor and happiness in my family with others, they everythingis just gravy. Please enjoy my videos. This my intro video of Pao and Pia, an animated Siopao and Lumpia, which are very common FIlipino dishes, snacks, and/or food. |
